This wild yam and chaste tree combination is unique to Nature’s Sunshine. Wild yam root and chaste tree berries have long been used separately for female health. Combining them works synergistically to promote balance in women.
 
Wild yam and chaste tree berries feed the glandular system. Wild yam contains diosgenin, a precursor to the hormone progesterone, while chaste tree berries nourish the pituitary gland, where other hormones are produced. The diosgenin in wild yam (approximately
40%) mimics progesterone's effect upon the body and has become increasingly popular in the treatment of PMS symptoms.
Progesterone buffers the negative effect of elevated estrogen levels.
Traditional herbalists value these two herbs as menopause relief and sometimes used them in women in their childbearing years, who have difficulty getting pregnant.
